2012 TSCA Spring Meeting and Conference
(03/12/2012)
The 2012 Texas Senior Corps Association Spring Meeting and Conference will take place May 2-4, 2012 at the historic St. Anthony Hotel in San Antonio. This year's theme is, "Envisioning the Future," and will feature a number of general sessions that will be of benefit to all three of our Senior Corps programs, including a number led by our Corporation State Office staff.
Besides the fantastic opportunities for inspiration and learning that will be offered, time has been built in for socializing and networking with your peers. On Wednesday, May 2, a reception will be held at the end of the days session, followed by an excellent dinner in a memorable location (it's a secret) just for our conference participants. The final morning of our conference will also offer the opportunity to meet with other Senior Corps Directors in your region for some networking time.
The St. Anthony room rate for the conference will be $99 per night for a single bed and $119 for two beds. Hotel reservations are made directly with St. Anthony hotel, and you must refer to the Texas Senior Corps Association Conference in order to get the group rate. Contact information for the hotel is on the conference registration form.
The registration fee this year is $165 if paid by April 2, 2012. After that, the registration will be $200. You may click here for a copy of the registration form. You may also pay your conference registration fee online, using the PayPal link below.
PayPal users make certain that you read this paragraph. Once you have landed on the PayPal site, before you finalize payment by clicking on the Pay button, you need to look for a line located above the Pay button that says, "Special Instructions" in bold typeface. Just under "Special Instructions," it will say, "List name of member being registered." That is a message to you, telling you that you need to list the name of the person you are registering. To do so, click on the little underlined link that says, "Add." When you click on it, a box will open that again reminds you to "List name of member being registered." Just click inside the box and type the name of the member for which you are paying the registration fee. It is very important that you take this step. Otherwise we cannot tell whose registration you are paying. And don't forget that the registration form must still be submitted in the mail or via fax or email, even if you are paying by PayPal. An emailed electronic version will get to the treasurer more quickly.
Don't wait too long. You'll want to get that "Early Bird" rate. We look forward to seeing you in San Antonio!
